I have been using the free/lite version and am very satisfied. I bought the EE3 Business License because I wanted the multiple event registration. I have access to my EE account online and can see my support keys. They both say I don’t have any site attributed to them. Which, would be correct. That is the issue at hand. I am trying to get my support key installed to upgrade my free version. So, here are the details:
WP Version: 3.9.1
EE Version: 3.1.36.4.L
Installation: This is WP installation has been upgraded from a prior WP version. The EE plugin is the free/lite download from your website home page.
Event Page: https://www.mrwpress.com/event-registration/
I figured this out. Eventually, I found that I needed to download EE3 from my account page under my downloads section in the sidebar on the right hand side. Talk about obscure. You can consider this issue resolved, but you really should make it so users can update right from the free/lite version. The fact I had to uninstall and delete and then download and manual upload the files via FTP, was a bit ridiculous. You will see an increase in sales if you make it more “user” friendly and a bit less “developer” oriented.
Firstly, I’m glad you got it resolved. Secondly, yes I agree, it would be great to be able to upgrade from the free to premium version without having to mess about with downloads. I believe we are considering something like this for future versions of EE4.
