Hello, I would like to get my calendar to show up on the entire page with pop ups showing details of events, but I can only get it to show up in the side bar like here. http://www.turtlewings.be/events-2/ I have read everything and perhaps this is a theme issue as stated in documentation https://eventespresso.com/wiki/calendar/#troubleshooting The problem is that I am such a novice changing the code of the theme freaks me out. |

Hello Julie, The first thing you will need to do is to create a new Page in WordPress. Maybe call it calendar, or another suitable term. In that page type If you want rid of the sidebar on that page only, edit the page and on the right of the page editing screen you should see a box called Page Attributes screenshot where it says Default Template check to see if there is a Full width template (not all themes supply one unfortunately). If so select it and update the page. If not then you would need someone to quickly code a template for the theme. |
|
Dean, Thanks for the quick response. I have done that several times here is a link http://www.turtlewings.be/event-calendar/, but it doesn’t show up. I do have the full width option. I can never see the calendar when I put the short code in a page or post only with the widget. This is why I thought it might be the problem from the documentation you sent saying it could be that the theme does not call up the right information??? No idea, |

Hi, Ok it seems the theme is interfering with the Calendar. Though this may not make much sense if you are not accustomed to code, the theme is wrapping the calenders code in paragraph tags, which basically stops the calendar from working. The first thing to try is to change the shortcode in your page to [RAW][ESPRESSO_CALENDAR][/RAW] What this tries to do is to stop those pesky paragraph tags from being made, but it depends on whether your theme supports the [raw] tags. If that does not work, you will need to refer back to the theme maker to request assistance. |

Ok, The problem is I can not get the developer to respond now for over a month. 🙁 So, let me see if I can understand the code part. I jut tried to add this in the footer.php but no luck. I haven’t tried to turn off plug-ins yet, but will now. I watched the youtube video, but it was not very easy to follow. Is there anything else I can cut and paste to see if it works? Jules |
|
Julie, No the code doesnt go there, it goes in the post/page. Can you send me login details, I can test whether the raw works very quickly. If so, please send them via https://eventespresso.com/contact/ Choose the “I am sending login info as requested” option and fill out the form |

Sorry I didn’t mean that I added the [RAW][ESPRESSO_CALENDAR][/RAW] in the footer. I added that first in the page, but it didn’t work. I then shut off all plug-ins and then added this in the footer.php as it said in the documentation. How can I send you my login in private? |
|
sorry just read the end of your post I am sending it now! |
|
Hi Julie, OK so you tried the Raw tags with no joy. And yes I see you added the espresso code to try and force the raw to work into the functions.php but without joy. I feel you will need to speak to the developer or direct with the theme maker on Mojo themes http://www.mojo-themes.com/item/zone4-creative-design-agency/ to see if they can send an update out which supports Raw or stops the automatic

If the theme developer is not replying, you should be able to contact Mojo Theme support directly and let them know the situation. They may be able to help fix it. If not, please let me know. |

I started a support ticket and tried to live chat, but no luck so far! It is a hurry up and wait day I guess. |
@Julie I contact someone at Mojo Themes for you and sent them your email address. |
