Hello, As a B2B Trading Site are value is in the size of our membership. I would like to parlay that value into 3rd Party Event Planning for Tradeshows for example. I can’t tell if this is possible with your software: Goals: Other Questions: Thank you, |

Hi Rick, Thanks for considering Event Espresso. In short, I don’t think the software is suitable for your needs, I say this because Event Espresso is designed more for your clients to take control of their own events, than for your business model. I will answer your questions as best I can. 1) I am not 100% sure what you mean by this. I am assuming you mean to allow a host to be able to access data about their events but not access other peoples or the admin. If that is the case you could use the Roles and Permissions Pro plugin (RP Pro) (Roles and Permissions Basic is a requirement) and/or the Front End Manager plugin. RP Pro allows you to give users a special role called Event Manager. They can have access to your dashboard but are limited in what they can access, both generally and also within the Event Espresso menu. They can only see their own events and attendees. The Front End Manager oddly enough creates events from the front end. These are basic events, and there is no attendee access etc. 2) Not without some heavy customisation of the Ticketing add on and the app. Currently it is set up so that WordPress admins have access to scan tickets. You can create admins and use a Third Party system to limit access on the site, but not the app, so they can scan tickets from other events and see attendees etc. 3) Taking funds is not an issue. There is no commission system built in. 4) It depends upon the level of integration required. We have basic integration, but I stress the basic. 1) We have no time scales for EE4 addons (including the phone app) at this time. We will be releasing each one once it is finished and stable. 2) Via the admin, tick the check box next to one or more attendees and then click a button to mark them as attended. 3) They could do it, either via the Roles and Permissions Pro plugin to the Front End Manager. It gives a rich text editor that allows text, images etc. Obviously this only affects the event content not the surrounding styles. 4) Members can have this, either via their Profile or via a front end shortcode. See the RP Pro discussion above for the Host dashboard. Please note that Events and Attendee data is intertwined. If you consider attendee info propriety (I am a little confused if you mean attendees or if members refers to the hosts) then RP Pro is probably a bad idea. So basically, EE will do some of what you want it to do, but not all and I don’t think that it will do it in a manner that is suitable based on the use case you have put forward. Feel free to ask more questions or request clarification on anything. |
