Hello,
In the use cases suggested in the documentation, Speed Dating is listed as a possible use of Event Espresso. I had wondered about this, specifically:
Has the code been extended before to perform matching on a users sign up field(s)? Obviously not core functionality I know! Relevant link: https://eventespresso.com/topic/attendee-and-existing-user-matching/ – I couldn’t see the response!
Limiting / discounting management of male vs female places for sale? Relevant links: https://eventespresso.com/forums/2011/03/speed-dating-2/

This has not been added, yet. One suggestion is to have two different events. One for males and one for females.

Yes, there have been customers, in the past, that have used Event Espresso (and the core registration properties) for their speed dating sites.
Users that have specific needs, are encouraged to contract a third-party developer to work on their specific customizations. However, none of these customers have contributed their customizations back to the Event Espresso community.
