Recently, all of the events on the calendar were trashed. I know that this could happen when an incompatible plugin is installed. Are there any other reasons why this would happen? Is there anything I can do to prevent this in the future?
I couldn’t see any issues on your site, did you resolve the problem? If not could you explain what you mean by “all of the events on the calendar were trashed”.
Also, it’s recommended to keep your plugin updated, EE 4.4.0 has just been released.
The calendar will almost always have 3 events per weekday for a few months in advanced. Each event is set to expire the midnight before and are not part of a group.
One day, (about 2 weeks ago) it was blank (did not have any events displayed on the calendar). The events were all located in the trash section of the [Event Espresso – Events] dashboard. Each one needed to be restored individually and their respective selling dates updated. I restored each one the next day.
It’s a bit time consuming. (we have over 200)
This is the second time it happened. The first time it seems to have happened after a plugin was installed.
Having all your events sent to trash is highly unusual behaviour and not something we have seen before.
Which plugin was added before this occurred?
Does anyone have access to your site other than yourself?
You said this happened two times, was any plugin added or were there any plugin or theme updates done prior to this?
