Just the FAQ’s. Some of the Basics.
What is Event Espresso?
Can I Test drive or Demo Event Espresso?
Yes, you can test-drive Event Espresso 3 and test-drive Event Espresso 4; Test Event Espresso today — it’s fast and free. Contact us with any concerns by posting your questions on the pre-sales support forum or contact our sales team privately.
What is the best support license for me?
The best option depends on your needs for your project. We recommend that you take a look at the EE4 to EE3 feature comparison and/or view the EE4 FAQ page. You can also view all of the features and add-ons available for EE3 and EE4. Also see our post: A New Direction For the Event Espresso 4 Support Licenses.
Do you offer add-on bundles for Event Espresso 4
Yes, the Everything License bundle.
Will Event Espresso work on my server?
We have a plugin available that will check your server for the minimum requirements.
Do you support WordPress multisite?
WordPress multisite brings some complexity that can lead to some challenges. As such we cannot support multisite, but we’ll offer recommendations wherever we can. Multisite compatibility is much better with EE4 than EE3. If you’re unsure about using multisite then please read this article.
What types of payment do you accept?
We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, and PayPal. A PayPal account is not required to pay via PayPal. We accept payments online and only in certain circumstances will we accept a purchase order, accept a check, or take any orders over the phone.
Can I purchase now and upgrade later?
Yes, you can purchase a higher license or add-ons at any time. Upgrading will give you access to additional add-ons, documentation, and support for your new subscription for the remaining period of your support license. You will be credited a pro-rated amount based upon what you have already paid in your initial purchase toward the purchase price of the higher license. For example, if you buy the Personal License for $70, and six months later upgrade to the Everything license, your price will be adjusted with a pro-rated credit for the amount of time (six months) remaining: ($280 for the Everything License*50% of time remaining) – (($70 for Personal License)*50% time remaining = $35)= $140-$35=$105 to upgrade for the remainder of the year.
How many licenses can I buy with my account?
Members who purchased the Personal or Business license can purchase one license at a time. Developer licenses come with access to all our products for five sites or as many support licenses as they purchase. Developer license holders can contact us to purchase additional site licenses.
How many websites can I install Event Espresso on?
Your support license with Event Espresso allows you to receive support, documentation, and upgrades (including one-click upgrades from your WordPress dashboard) on one WordPress installation. If you need support for additional sites, then we recommend purchasing another license with a separate EventEspresso.com account or upgrading to the Developer support license.
Do you offer refunds?
We want you to be happy. Therefore, we offer a 30-day money back guarantee. We just ask for the opportunity to help you resolve your issue. Need help with Event Espresso? Create a support post in our support forums so we can assist you today.

Do you offer non-profit discounts?
We encourage non-profit organizations to apply for discount pricing by completing our non-profit application form.
How much does it cost to renew my license?
The renewal price is based upon the current retail price of the package (support license) you purchased. Early or on-time renewals will receive a loyal customer renewal discount. If you purchased between December 2015 through April 2017 you will receive a 50% discount. If you purchase after May 1, 2017, your loyal customer renewal discount will be 30%. For example, the EE4 Everything License retails for $279.95 for the first year, but the renewal price will be discounted 50%-30% to $139.95-$195.96 respectively.
Are main packages subscriptions different from add-on subscriptions?
Currently that depends. If you purchased before December 3, 2015 add-on purchases are combined with your main subscription no matter when you purchased.
If you purchased after December 2, 2015 then main plans (like the Basic, Everything/Business or Developer licenses) are one subscription and add-ons purchased a la carte (or separate or after your main license purchase) have their own subscription so you get a full 12 months of support. Add-on subscription renewals also receive a significant loyal customer discount.
What do I get for renewing my support license key?
Renewing your license provides an peace of mind with an additional year of access to your current Event Espresso files, support, our documentation, and software updates to ensure WordPress compatibility as well as great new features and enhancements.
Are renewals handled manually or automatically?
Currently, that depends. If you signed up before December 3, 2015 then you have to manually renew your license. Sorry for the trouble. If you signed up on December 3, 2015, then your renewals can be processed automatically. You can manage your subscriptions from your Account page.
Will my events stop working if my support license expires?
If you do not renew, then you can continue to use the software as-is on your website. However, you’ll have limited access to the documentation, limited access to the support team, and no software downloads or updates.
Will Event Espresso work on a WordPress.com site?
No, unfortunately WordPress.com does not allow you to install any plugins.
Will Event Espresso work with Drupal, Joomla, or Expression Engine sites?
