"Your support license key is only valid for one domain at a time" – Dev

Hey everyone! I’m currently working on my development environment and after accessing the admin panel, the following message appeared…

Your support license key is only valid for one domain at a time, and our licensing system has detected that you are using your license key on multiple domains. Please log in to your Event Espresso account to manage your Support License Keys, or if you have concerns, please Contact Us.

Does this mean that I may need to introduce my credentials here to start working on an update? if so, what would happen in the production environment?

Hi there,

I’m guessing you copied the live site to the development server and starting working on it?

The above error means your license key within Event Espresso -> General Settings has been set on multiple sites, as the key is only available for use on a single site it throws the notice.

On the development, site remove the key from the settings and save.

I’ll reset your license key, as long as you leave your live site with the key set and your development site without the key set it won’t cause any further problems.

Note you’ll need to update EE manually on the development site:
