We are a sports organisation with up to 100 events the registration for which is run through our website currently in a year.
We are using WordPress 4.1, Woothemes Canvas and Woocommerce.
For the events we are currently using Events Manager and for the registrations Contact Form 7 and Contact Form to Database plugins.
The strange combination is due to the fact that setting up registrations and attendees has been so complicated in Events Manager that we have not used these features of the product. We are thinking of moving to your plugin but before making that decision we have to know that it will not be as complicated as Events Manager.
What we need is the following:
1. custom fields in event registration forms gathering data about the registered riders competition numbers, clubs, competition classes, vehicles, etc.
2. preferably making this info part of their user profile that they can re-use the next time they register. Also so they and the admins could edit the info.
3. displaying a list of attendees with some of the custom fields info on the event page. An example: http://www.msport.ee/events/adrenalin-arena-baltic-master-ii-etapp/
4. a possibility to export the list of registered competitors (also the custom fields) in a csv format.

Please let me know if this is manageable with your plugin and how much modifications should be made?

Hi,

Thanks for your interest in Event Espresso.

You can test drive EE4 for free over at hhtp://demoee.org to get a better feel for the plugin.

Test drive EE3 by filling out this form: https://eventespresso.com/pricing/test-drive-event-espresso/

There are currently two versions of Event Espresso: EE3 and EE4. EE4 is the latest but it is still a work in progress so some features are still awaiting to be added. You can compare the features here: https://eventespresso.com/differences-ee4-ee3/

1. custom fields in event registration forms gathering data about the registered riders competition numbers, clubs, competition classes, vehicles, etc.

Yes both EE3 and EE4 allow custom Questions which enable you to gather data from the attendees.

2. preferably making this info part of their user profile that they can re-use the next time they register. Also so they and the admins could edit the info.

EE3 has the WP User integration addon which will allow logged in users forms to be automatically partially filled out (name, email, address only).

EE4 will have a similar add on but it is still in development.

Neither are able to fill out custom questions.

3. displaying a list of attendees with some of the custom fields info on the event page. An example: http://www.msport.ee/events/adrenalin-arena-baltic-master-ii-etapp/

EE3 has an attendee list shortcode, but it would need to be modified to display that level of details.

EE4 doesn’t have one currently.

Most likely you would need to create a custom shortcode for this.

4. a possibility to export the list of registered competitors (also the custom fields) in a csv format.

Yes, both EE3 and EE4 allow CSV export.

If you have any other questions, feel free to let us know and donät forget to

Thank you for answering. I will test drive the product.

As per answer to 3. “Most likely you would need to create a custom shortcode for this.” – How complicated would this be (what would need to be done)?

Best,
Helen

Hi,

Well, you would need a developer to do it, either to modify the existing (EE3) shortcode or simply generate a new one.

It shouldn’t be a huge job, merely pulling the appropriate data out of the database and displaying it, but unless you have PHP skills it will need a developer.

OK. Can the developer, if needed, be found through your forum?
