A delegate emailed to say she keeps getting this error message – but I can’t reproduce it, and we do get lots of registrations from others who presumably do not get that error. I see that there are posts on the forum about this already, but given the above, what would be the most likely cause/solution? (I don’t have any caching plugins.) Do you have a documentation page with the various possible solutions listed together? Best wishes Jonathan

Hi, The main reason for it is: caching. I know you said you don’t have any caching plugins, but it could still be caused by: An old caching plugin, that has been deactivated but is still causing issues Server level caching – you would need to clarify this with your host and set up no cache exclusions: https://eventespresso.com/wiki/setup-nocache-exclusion-rules-event-espresso/ However, I did run a test registration on your site and got to the payment page with no issues. Do you know: Whether the user is registering from a company network/LAN? |
Yes I had Wordfence (I had to disable it as an automatic update broke the website). How would I look into the issues it may be still causing? |

Hi Jonathan, It looks like you have a lot of scripts running on your site. This could cause this problem. Can you test with all non-EE plugins deactivated? We’ve seen this error when lots of scripts are running on the registration pages. Please see this doc on how to disable scripts: http://justintadlock.com/archives/2009/08/06/how-to-disable-scripts-and-styles Be sure you are only disabling other scripts on the Registration Checkout and Thank You pages. |

Do you mean: Thanks |

Hi Jonathan, that sounds like a good plan. Could you also ask her the web browser that she is using? — |
