The message on the site says: so I can’t do an automatic update? why would that be? I’m not using this on another domain? What gives? |
|
OK, I see, we had it on a temp domain and we need to reset the key…. |
Hello there, I have reset your license key. Please remove the key from the field in your settings, save, then reenter the key and save again. |

I have this problem: “You have the correct Site License Key for Event Espresso but your current membership access only allows for automatic upgrades on one domain. Please log into your account to manage your Site License Keys or purchase a support license now.” The domain matches the user account in EE website. What’s wrong? |

I have the same issue as Janne. You guys just rest my key and it still doesn’t work. In all honestly, I’m not even sure they key has ever worked… ugh. |
Janne and Jon, Is Event Espresso installed on a multi-site installation of WordPress? Also, are there any other sites that are using your key (like a development site?) |
|

The problem was solved when you resetted the key (so the problem was somehow in the key). I didn’t have to do anything after the reset and everything worked. And for future reference, the key is not used in development site and it is not in multi-site installation. Thanks for the help, the issue is solved from my part! |
Glad to hear that Janne.
I’m marking this ticket as resolved, please start a new topic if you are continuing to have issues with the License key and we will help you there. |

I have a similar problem. Yesterday I requested a reset. But still get the message: There is a new version of Event Espresso available. View What’s New with version 3.1.30.6.P. You need a valid Site License Key to enable automatic upgrades. The key you have entered is invalid or expired. Please log into your account to manage your Site License Keys or purchase a support license now. |
Hi Will, In the future, can you please post a new topic? This will ensure that support staff will see your request. I will assign a new key to your account right now and you can try that one. If you run into any issues with this key, it may be a case where your server is blocking communication back to Event Espresso’s servers. In which case, you can download the updates from your account page and use the WordPress plugin installer to manually update. |
