Event Espresso is adding ‘sessions’ to the options table in my WordPress website, but they never get deleted. I just cleaned out more than 300,000 records from Event Espresso after my client’s website came to a screeching halt.
Can you contact the folks from the Shopp plugin about this? It turns out that EE3 does not write its session data to the _options table, but it appears that Shopp saves all standard session data to the _options table. Maybe they can come up with a way to only log Shopp’s sesssions to the _options table as there are many WP plugins that use sessions.
A new thread would be best unless it’s related to the wp_options table.
