A couple of weeks ago I purchased a personal licence EE3 and now I’m looking how to let attendees register themselves. I can’t find this in the plugin settings. Do I need to purchase this as an extra addon?

Hi,
Event Espresso does not create WordPress users by default.
The normal workflow is for a user to register with the site, and then register for the events.
With that mentioned, a team member created a small function that will register users with the site on event registration (it uses email addresses).

The function can be added to your themes functions.php file or a custom functions plugin or the Custom Files addon.

Hi Joshua,
Just to note, that snippet will create a WP User using the details provided when an Attendee registers onto an event, however it depends on how you need to use this information.
If you would like for your users to view the events they have previously registered onto you’ll need the WP Members Add-on (which you can purchase separately) which will give those user access to the My Events page within the admin (or front end with a shortcode)
