Hi,

In the scenario that one person registers multiple additional attendees, does the WP User Integration allow the additional attendees to individually login to an account and view/modify their registration information, or is that only limited to the primary attendee? My client is currently using an older version of this plug-in (v2.20?), and we are looking to refresh their site with this latest version and one of the complaints they have is that once people are registered, they can’t log back in to see or change their registration information. To give you an example, say a company representative is going to sign up themselves, plus 4 other people for an event at one time using the “additional attendee” functionality. We want to know if this plug-in will allow all 5 of those people to individually login with their own credentials and see the specific registration information for themselves.

Also, since my client is a non-profit, we were wondering if there were any non-profit discounts available.

Thanks for your time!

Steve

HI Steve,

The WP Users Integration (https://eventespresso.com/product/espresso-members/) add-on does not create new accounts. The individual registering needs to have created an account on the website prior to registering for an event. If the user is logged-in to their account when purchasing then it will try to auto-fill their personal information and their history will be saved. It does not create new accounts or associate purchases with other users. Does that help?

We do have a non-profit program: https://eventespresso.com/contact/non-profit-discounts/

Hi Garth,

Thanks for the response. If I am understanding you correctly, in a scenario where one person is trying to register themselves and other people in the same transaction, WP Users Integration would only try to pre-fill the one person actually doing the registering, only if they already had an account. Nothing is done with the additional attendees? Or are their details associated with the account of the person who registered them?

I’m trying to figure out the easiest way to allow one person to register multiple attendees in one transaction, and then have each attendee be able to update their information/change events/etc, either through their own account, or through the person who originally registered them. The goal is to avoid throngs of people reaching out to the non-profit asking for a reminder of what they registered for (which happens more than you would think if they register far in advance.)

Response or thoughts? Thanks for your time.

We do have a piece of code available that will create a WP user for each attendee. https://gist.github.com/sidharrell/6675041 So each attendee would be able to log in and view / edit their registration details.

Registration details, does that include any questions that were asked during the registration or is it just barebones registration information that’s available to the registered user? Also, I want to confirm that in a scenario that one person registers additional people in one transaction, that all people get their own login under that scenario.

Please advise.

Hi Steve,

Yes, you can include the questions and answers from the registration form in the email confirmation. Each attendee receives their own email notification.
