Hi!
I Use EE4 with WP User Integration plugin, I have following problem: when user tries to register for an event then he gets to the login form (EE form, not WP standard login form), when user enters input field and exits leaving it blank then there shows a “This field is required.” message. How can I translate this message? I can not find it in EE4 .po file.

Hi there,

The string is on GlotPress:

https://translate.eventespresso.com/projects/event-espresso-4/pl/event-espresso-pl_PL?filters%5Bterm%5D=This+field+is+required&filters%5Buser_login%5D=&filters%5Bstatus%5D=current_or_waiting_or_fuzzy_or_untranslated&filter=Filter&sort%5Bby%5D=priority&sort%5Bhow%5D=desc

Could you translate it there and then generate an updated MO file for your website?

Problem is that I did a lot of other translations (these strings are translated too), so as far as I understand translating process, I could not use them if I use MO generated from GlotPress. Am I right?

I have also few other cases when EE displays english strings instead of translated:
– “Steps”
– “Payment Options”
– “(For %1$s)”

Sure you can.

Download the PO file from GlotPress, open it up in POEdit and add your own translations (or apply them to GlotPress if you become a translator) then generate the MO file from that.

You can also merge your current translations from your PO file into the GlotPress PO file: http://www.marketpressthemes.com/blog/how-to-merge-two-po-files-using-poedit/

I have also few other cases when EE displays english strings instead of translated

Can you link us to an event we can use to view this please?

I downloaded new po file, integrated it with the old one and searched for strings that I want to translate (did not find not translated strings), it did not help.
You can see it here: https://techdays.pl/events/discovery-analog-world/ (select a ticket and click submit button, there this strings will show).

The “Steps” string is ' Steps'https://translate.eventespresso.com/projects/event-espresso-4/pl/event-espresso-pl_PL?filters%5Boriginal_id%5D=8444

The payment options is ‘Payment Options’ – https://translate.eventespresso.com/projects/event-espresso-4/pl/event-espresso-pl_PL?filters%5Boriginal_id%5D=21034

(For %1$s) is here: https://translate.eventespresso.com/projects/event-espresso-4/pl/event-espresso-pl_PL?filters%5Boriginal_id%5D=22754

Note that last change only applies to registrations made AFTER the translation is in place, it will not change registrations that have already been made.

If those are not the correct strips can you let me know which strings you are looking for please.
