WP User Integration Error

This error completely broke our website and took it down:

E_COMPILE_ERROR: Type of EventEspresso\WpUser\domain\entities\routing\EspressoEventEditor::$data_node must be ?EventEspresso%5Ccore%5Cservices%5Cjson%5CJsonDataNode_%28as_in_class_EventEspresso%5Ccore%5Cservices%5Crouting%5CRoute%29=
(/home/naturalb/public_html/wp-content/plugins/eea-wp-user-integration/domain/entities/routing/EspressoEventEditor.php:17)

We have been using this plugin for several years. We are not using EE5. We are on EE4 and it looks like this error states that EE5 is required.

This happened immediately after updating to the EE plugin.

The site works after disabling the User Integration Plugin, but if I activate it, the site is immediately critically disabled.

Thanks @inba, yes, the same thing is happening on our site using the latest EE 5.0.30p and the latest WordPress Users Integration 2.1.2.p . See more on my experience so far at the thread I created here: https://eventespresso.com/topic/critical-error-on-site-with-latest-ee-plugin/

Hi there,

We’ve been investigating this and have pushed a fix for the WP User integration add-on to prevent the fatal.

You’ll need to update to the latest version of the add-on which you’ll find in your account page.

Download 2.1.3.p of the User Integration add-on and go to Dashboard -> Plugins -> Add new -> Upload plugin.

Select the .zip file you just download and upload, if WordPress tells you there is a version already installed and asks if you want to replace it, do so.

Activating that version of the add-on should prevent the above error.
