If you mouse over any event on the calendar page, the end user sees text such as:

Hi there,

Officially Event Espresso does not support page builders, we do run do_shortcode() on the content shown on the calendar to process shortcodes but looks like that Visual Composer shortcodes wont parse (which is a good thing here as they’ll add a bunch of markup to the calendar content).

You can try stripping out the shortcodes for that content using a function like this:

https://gist.github.com/Pebblo/774a333e8320f23cdd006c1b2a4c3ed3

You can add that to a custom functions plugin on your site, we have some documentation on creating one here:

That means the shortcode aren’t registering within WordPress when the calendar is processing the content (strip_shortcodes() can only strip shortcodes it is aware of, meaning they have been registering within WordPress).

Can you send me a copy of the version of Visual Composer you are using so I can check this locally?

Zip the file and send it over to support[at]eventespresso.com for me to view it. You may need to use a service such as WeTransfer depending on the filesize.
