We just uploaded the recent version of EE and after we did all of the defined widget areas in our main WordPress (Genesis platform) area disappeared. We deleted the updated EE plugin and they reappeared. What can we do to avoid this?
Did you re-install a fresh copy of Event Espresso 3.1.28.5, and after that they reappeared? If so, there may have been some files that didn’t get uploaded on the first try, which may have caused errors on the admin page when the widgets loaded up.
I can recommend uploading a fresh copy of Event Espresso via FTP. You can download a copy from your account page and unzip it, then upload it to your wp-content/plugins directory.
It’s also a good idea to check the add-ons. If you didn’t update the add-ons to the latest version when you updated Event Espresso, this can cause issues.
