I recently updated my WordPress to version 3.8. After doing so I have lost all my visual calender display on all my pages, with the exception of being able to see month, week and day tabs, and arrows, but no actual calender!
I have checked the htacess, and php.ini and all seem to be correct…if reinstall version less than 3.8 no problems, however then my admin panel gets all out of whack!
What is a solution to getting my calender visible again in version 3.8 of wordpress?
All help at this point would be greatly appreciated thank you!

Hi James,

The solution is to update to a more current version of the calendar. More recent versions of WordPress use a newer version of the jQuery library, and the calendar scripts we include with the calendar have been updated to be compatible with the newer libraries.

I appreciate that, however I already tried installing version 2.2. It isn’t syncing up with the registered version I purchased!
It tells me I have insufficient access…Do I need to re-install the whole event espresso and if so where is the appropriate version download page?
Sorry, but thanks for helping…it is driving me nuts!
James

Yes, my calendar no longer functions as well. The past events are gone, and the picture doesn’t pop up when the mouse is over the event in the calendar anymore.

Holly, on my computer, the http://happymessart.com/calendar-event-page/ is loading OK. How did you fix the issue?

@NAAP NATIONAL She didn’t fix it…her mouse over event is not working, nor are the picture files! I looked into the jquery, and it seems the real issue is the DB hook from the main Espresso! They need a patch, or update to correct this problem, but the suggestion of uploading the latest version doesn’t work!

Hi James,

Can you check the Calendar Settings please and make sure they are correct. Please save the options even if they are.

If that doesn’t resolve the issue please advise further.

James,

Your support license has expired, so in order to get access to the paid version of the calendar you’ll need to renew. If you decide to not renew, then you can use the lite version of Event Espresso and use the lite version of the calendar.

So let me understand this correctly, you don’t support your own product on purchases that your site “RECOMMENDS”, so in order to correct the problem I need to re-purchase the very same product, when all other company’s out there will offer software patches or updates to work with the very system that they built it for i.e WordPress…so you don’t do that? Do I understand you correctly? I have to say that is bad business on your part, but it’s yours! I will not be repurchasing, because after-all that’s ridiculous…you guys have built a nice little tourist trap there on WP updates congrats for losing me, and hopefully others will follow suit!
Cheers

You do not need to repurchase, you can continue to use the lite version of Event Espresso and the lite calendar for free, which also has all the updates for the calendar that pertain to WP 3.7.
