[09-Nov-2024 20:04:46 UTC] WordPress database error Got a packet bigger than ‘max_allowed_packet’ bytes for query INSERT INTO wp_options (option_name, option_value, autoload) VALUES (‘ee_core_routes4.8.36’, ‘a:636:{s……..
The line is over 1MB (1.07 MB (1,130,738 bytes))

The logs get to 100s of megs per day.

It appears that it it (hopefully) only for my user, any way to clear/prevent this?

Thanks.

Hi there,

You’ll need to contact your host and have them increase the servers max_allowed_packet value to fix this as a value of 1MB is too small.

Depending on your hosting provider you may have options to change this within your control panel but if not create a ticket with them and they will update it for you.

Awesome! I’m glad it worked.

The routes themselves are just over 1MB but they do not autoload and only update when there is a version number change in core or add-ons.

So in your case it was trying to write the latest values on every page load becuase it couldn’t write them at all.
