Since upgrading WordPress to the latest version and upgraded all modules of Event Espresso, I now find myself unable to take any bookings. Originally yesterday when I posted on the board it seemed the problem only happened when I was logged off from administrator but now the problem seems to be me much better or worse depending on how you see it. website is http://www.hg-education.com and when you select 2013 camps and then select Sherrardswood school which is the only event you get register or add to cart. If you add to cart it allows you to fill in the information and you select one candidate. When you get to the summary screen it says the cost if £0.00 even when you refresh the total. Tried changing the price and it still doesnt work. When you log on as administrator it shows you the price but credit card sends in a 0 rated invoice to be paid. MAJOR problem here now.

Have deactivated all plugs ins and re downloaded all plugins and uploaded and still not working.

Hi there,

From looking at the registration info page, there are signs that there are older templates in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates. If you can remove or rename that directory to something like /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates-old, it will allow the new version’s templates to load instead. What happens is if the templates in the /uploads/espresso gateway are based on an older version, it’s like having only some of the plugin updated, with old parts of the plugin still active.

There is a button in the Event Espresso>Template settings page that will automatically rename this directory for you and allow the current version’s templates to load.

The same also is true with any files that may have been copied over to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways, that location should be checked too.

Ok have renamed the directory and then copied in the templates from the location given at the bottom of the screen but now whilst it shows me the correct page when I choose quantity it doesn’t change the value it keeps it as 0.00. Almost there I know but can’t see what the problem is. This was an old problem from ages ago and I can’t remember what the fix was. Also don’t know how to sort out the gateways problem. Is this the same type of thing removing the gateways directory as well and then doing a copy from somewhere else.

Hi there,

I’m seeing something different when I add an event to the cart:

Do you have the members add-on installed where members prices are set to 0.00?

With the templates and the gateway files, these files should not be copied over to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates or /wp-content/uploads/espresso/gateways unless you will be making customizations to them. So in this case, please do not copy anything over to /wp-content/uploads/espresso/, this will allow the current version’s files to load from the plugin directory.
