Is there a compatibility issue with WordPress 4.6 and EE4 – after upgrading the event registration process no longer works. We can’t progress to the payment page. It just blanks the registration form and asks for name and email again? Help!

Hi Melissa,

No there are no known issues with EE and WP 4.6, I (and the rest of the support team) run multiple test sites all using 4.6 without any issues.

Can you link me to you event page so I can view this please?

It sounds like there is a JS error being thrown which is breaking the EE validation on the reg form.

https://www.graphicartsassociation.org/events-list/ – been trying the first event. And the https://www.graphicartsassociation.org/events/graphically-speaking-2016/ – I’ve enabled pay by invoice so I can “complete” the checkout for a test. But I never make it that far.

Help is appreciated… we have a postcard mailing hitting this week and people are trying to register but can’t

Hi Melissa,

Did your upgrade to WordPress 4.6 complete or were there issues and this caused it to not complete?

I’m not able to see any pages on your site as there is a maintenance message shown: https://cl.ly/2k3010331w2I

There is a step by step guide here on forcing WP out of maintenance mode:

I can see your pages, however none of the EE javascript files are being loaded on the pages.

Do you have any plugins that control the order in which js/css files are loaded?

If you temporarily de-activate all non-EE plugins and retest the registration does it work then?

Depending on when you looked, EE might not have been running. After some tinkering – we decided it must be a plug-in conflict. So we disabled all plugins, and then re-enabled them one by one. Finally determinging it was Google Analyticator and a Twitter Feed plugin that were the culprits. More so the Google plugin. It’s working now.

EE was still active as I was using the ticket selector.

I’m glad you found the problem, however I use Google Analyticator on one of my test sites and it works there, were you using the latest version or was it a specific setting within GA that caused the problem?
