I want to create a site for Florida that will concentrate on Sport Tournaments like Judo, TKD, JiuJitsu, etc so people hosting the events can use my site to register the competitors. I am a bit familiar with your product since I am using it on another site. So here are my questions based on what I will like to do and hopefully your software can do it.

1. Allow the Even Host sign in to my site and create his/her event with location, price details but only have access to his/her events and no one else.
2. For the event host to be able to enter their PayPal information or Gateway information so when people register for their events they can get paid immediately. If this is not possible then allow me collect the money for them with a Convenience Fee and I figure it out how to deliver the money to the event host.
3. Give access to the event host to use the ticket scanning for their events for fast checking. Without them be able to alter or view other event host.
4. Allow the even host access to the registration list only for his/her events.

What I am trying to do is something similar to Eventbrite but more specific to tournaments. I know I can create new fields and such that will collect the right information. Anyway I can also try those features or like a 30 days money back in case the product doesn’t do what planned.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

The responses below are for EE3. EE4 will not be suitable for you currently.

1) Using the Roles and Permissions Basic and Pro (Pro is needed, and Basic is required for Pro), will allow you to give users a specific role called Eevnt Manager. This will allow them to create events that only the can access and manage (Admins can of course edit these, but Admins cannot assign an event to someone).

The same applies to venues, they can only edit the ones they create but can use any that are created.

2) This is sort of possible with PayPal & Stripe, but no other gateways. In the event they can add a special meta key and then the payment email/key and it will use those for the event rather than the default gateways.

See the Per Event Settings here for an example https://eventespresso.com/wiki/payment-settings-ee3/#PayPal

3) Unsure. I thought we allowed this but I ran into an error when testing it. I’ll run this by the app developer to double check if this is just a bug or if the functionality does not exist.

4) As per number 1, this is possible.

Please see our terms, specifically section 6 https://eventespresso.com/support/terms-conditions/

@dean
What do you mean sort of possible? Is it definitive to be able to set each event to pay the even coordinator using paypal or stripe?

Hi,

Yes, it can be done in EE3 with PayPal or Stripe, but not other gateways.
