It’s late here (UK) and so possibly very obvious but….
1. cloned live site to a subdomain
2. installed ee4 and ran migration
3. activated ee4 core plugin etc
White screen (visit site)
4. Deactivate ee4 and site displays

What have I missed / forgotten?
Thanks!

Hi Nick,

Step 1 can be tricky depending on what method you used to clone the site.

When you get the white screen, you can find out the exact error that’s being thrown by enabling WP_DEBUG from within the wp-config.php file. This way, you’ll know what’s causing the issue. A white screen can be caused by a syntax error, the server running low on memory, a misconfigured server, a function declared twice. You’ll have a better idea how to fix if you can get the actual error message.
