White Label full product?

Hi,

I would like to integrate event espresso at a customer’s website, but without showing what plugin was used. Is it possible to replace the name of the plugin at all instances with my own brand name – a full white label solution?

And if this is not part of the out-of-the-box features… does my licence (business) allow me to do this on my own – or what would be the steps to make this possible?

Thanks in advance.
Eike (streidl)

Hi Eike,

How are you today?

Event Espresso does not have an out-of-the-box features to white label our app. That’s something a developer would have to work through and do it in such a way to be prepared for future updates.

Hi Eike,

You could write a translation function and translate all occurrences of “Event Espresso” to your brand name that you’d like to pass Event Espresso off as.

If this is a one-of work for hire situation where you are not re-distributing the code with the copyrights removed it should be okay license-wise. It may be best to check with your lawyer and do some research if you intend on removing copyright notices and redistribute the code beyond the client work, because I am not a lawyer or an expert on the GPL.
