In testing, we’ve found that we would be entering incorrect bits of CC information (in one case, the CC# was correct but the 3-digit security code was off), yet the CC was still processed. Is this something that is buggy on EventEspresso’s end, or on Authorize.net?
Do you have the Card Code Verification setting turned on in your Authorize.net account? If yes, it may be the issuing bank.
It’s ultimately up to the issuing bank whether to decline a card. This transaction must have looked otherwise normal enough to go through. The CVC and expiry date are taken into account, but sometimes will not cause an automatic decline.
