Hi,

Quick question hopefully.

We are using the WP User Integration addon, and see under Registration Form where it allows you to set a default option for whether a user should be logged in to WordPress before they can register for an event.

This is set to Yes.

Text underneath it says that this can be changed for each event by unchecking the “Login Required” checkbox on the Event page. But I cannot see it; nor can my partner.

Where should I be looking?

Kind regards,

Anita

Hi Anita,

On the registration form section under user integration settings, the default text doesn’t mention a checkbox, it should have something like this:

When this is set to “Yes”, that means when you create an event the default for the “Login Required” setting on that event will be set to “Yes”. When Login Required is set to “Yes” on an event it means that before users can register they MUST be logged in. You can still override this on each event.

The reason that is important is the option for this isn’t a checkbox, its a dropdown, so if you’re looking for a checkbox you’ll never find it 🙂

It’s set on the individual events themselves within the event editor but the metaboxes can be moved around by admins, by default it’s in the sidebar and looks like this:

The option in the registration form settings is the default value used for the above by default when creating new events but you actually set the option on each individual event.

If you can’t see the above anywhere on your event editor, go to the top right of the screen and click ‘Screen Options’, make sure ‘User Integration Settings’ is checked.

Hi Tony,

I looked at your monosnap screenshot. I do remember seeing that box in the past, but I do not see it now. I almost cannot believe my eyes.

I took a screenshot of the boxes that are available on the Add New Event page that you can see here: https://www.pastefile.com/4rqvcc

There is no option there for User Integration Settings, and I don’t think I’ve done anything to hide it.

We are using Event Espresso versions 4.10.8.p and Event Espresso – WP Users (EE4.6+) version 2.0.17.p

What am I missing?

Kind regards,

Anita

Hmm, looks like something is controlling the meta boxes loading on that page as there’s a few that would normally show by default there.

Tags, Page Template, Excerpt, Custom Fields, Discussion, Authur.

Some are based on features your theme would enable but check your theme’s functions.php file to see if anything mentions ‘metabox’
