Where are these people?
We add speakers and admit them for free.
So we have a speaker ticket.
We have this issue with ghost speakers who bogart our Max total number.
How do I remove these records so I can clean this up?

Hi,

Those are actually reserved counts where the registrant did not complete the registration form. Normally those counts reset back to zero. If the server doesn’t support scheduled tasks, the reserved ticket counts will continue to add up because scheduled tasks to delete them don’t run.

In other words, there are no records to remove. You can reset the reserved counts by manually running the scheduled tasks, and fix this for going forward.

To manually reset the reserved counts, you can install this plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-crontrol/
Then go to your site’s Tools > Cron Events page. There, you’ll likely find more than a few WP-Cron Events named
AHEE__EE_Cron_Tasks__expired_transaction_check
You can click the “Run Now” link for one of those (the links appear to the far right side of the page).

Running one of the expired transaction check events may trigger all of them to fire, which should bring that count to zero.

Then, to fix this going forward there’s a bit of troubleshooting involved:

If you see a message on the WP-Cron Events page that says “The DISABLE_WP_CRON constant is set to true. WP-Cron spawning is disabled.” then that means you should edit the site’s wp-config.php file and remove the DISABLE_WP_CRON constant.

You can also visit the Tools > Site Health page and that page will run a scheduled event test. If the scheduled event fails the Site Health page may have more troubleshooting information.
