I have no idea where to find event posts. I can display events on a page using the calendar, grid or list shortcodes but can’t display or find the event posts. I’m using Divi Child theme Gradeo. Thanks, Glenn |
hi Glenn, By default, the event posts will be available at Is that not what you are looking for? |

Hey thanks for the quick reply. Trying to get this thing deployed tonight so registration for our surfing camp can open tomorrow morning. For some reason I get our woocommerce store when I go to /events/. I’m adding Espresso to a site I inherited from someone else so I’m little by little figuring out what’s been done. Related question, I can’t just go to Post and see the Events I’ve created? |
OK, go to Event Espresso -> Events -> Templates (tab) -> Event List Pages -> Event Slug. Change that to something other than ‘events’ and save. Then go to Dashboard -> Settings -> Permalinks. Now when you go to the slug you set above, do you see your EE events listed?
No, EE doesn’t use the native WP post editor. Event Espresso -> Events lists all your EE event posts. |

new slug brings me back to the WooCommerce Store. |

I was told ME Calendar had been installed on the site and the /events slug had been going to the ME Calendar Events. |
Can you link me to the site so I can take a look at this? You can mark your post private if you don’t want the link to be public. |

http://www.surfersforautism.org I set the slug back to events I also re-installed ME Calendar. It’s default slug is events-calendar. When changed to events it had no problem going to its events page, but I want to use Event Espresso :). |
It’s correctly loading the EE archive but I suspect the template is just loading Woo. If you view your themes root directory, do you have an |

Not there. |
Ok, so you’ll need to check this using a default theme and none of the other plugins installed. You can do that using the WP Health Check plugin. Install the plugin and go to Tools -> Site Health -> Troublshooting -> Enable Troubleshooting Mode. That will disable all plugins and switch you to a default theme, but only for you, the logged in admin. Next go to the admin bar -> Troubleshooting Mode -> Manage Activate plugins Now click ‘Enable while troublehshooting’ on Event Espresso. That will enable EE, test the /events/ page, what do you see? Enable Woo, check /events/. Admin bar -> Troubleshooting Mode -> Switch to your Divi Child theme. Check /events/ again, what do you see? Enable the plugins on the site one by one and check the /events/ output until it breaks again. Something is outputting the woo products page specifically for EE events |

I’m going through one by one enabling plugins. So far have enabled all the Woo,Gravity forms and a bunch of others and /Events is still working. Going to continue on until I find the culprit or not. I had someone tell me that Event Espresso will not work with Woo and Divi. Any thoughts on that? |
|
No luck, have enabled all the plugins via troubleshooter and /events page is still working. Any suggestions on what to check next? BTW, thank you for all the help! |
It depends on what you define as “will not work”. They can all be used on the same site to do what they do, but what they don’t do is interoperate. For example it will not work to use the Divi builder to manage an Event Espresso event’s settings, and it will not work to use your WooCommerce payment gateway to take payments for Event Espresso tickets.
The theme. So for example you could check in wp-content/themes/gradeo/functions.php or any other PHP files in wp-content/themes/gradeo/ for code that would switch out page templates for custom post type archives. |

I agree, don’t like those blanket terms. So any thoughts on how to fix this. I’m not tied to using Divi, just be a bit of work to migrate to another theme. If I were to do that, any suggestions on a theme that works great with Event Espresso and Woo? |
My thoughts are check the child theme. Or, if you switch to Divi as the active theme (in other words, have the child theme not aactivated and instead Divi only) you could see if the events archive loads up. |

Neither the Divi parent or child them worked. I noticed something really strange with the Event Icon in the header. If you click on it on it from the home, gallery or donor page, it just reloads that page. If you click on it from the Shop page it takes you to https://www.surfersforautism.org/product/surfers-for-autism-rubber-bracelets/ which happens to be the first item in the store. Now here is what’s more strange. If you type in https://www.surfersforautism.org/events, which we know displays the store products. If you then click on the Events icon it brings up the first event, https://www.surfersforautism.org/events/test |
Hi, I’m afraid I do not see an event icon in the header of your site. It looks like the theme has been changed to Astra. Does that fix the issue you’re having when WooCommerce is activated? |
