Sorry if this appears to be obvious but I am want to double check:

When setting a time in EE4 when does January 1 00:00 represent?
Is it Midnight Dec 31-> Jan 1
OR
Is it Midnight Jan 1 -> Jan 2

Also, does the logic hold in all timers?

Hi there,

May I ask, where are you seeing the specific format above?

In any case, January 1 00:00 would be the beginning of the day, so that would be Midnight Dec 31-> Jan 1.

Also, does the logic hold in all timers?

I’m not sure what you mean here, can you explain further? EE uses the same set up for all of its datetime values if that is what you are asking?

Yes, you answered everything. So If want the countdown timer or ticket sales to expire at midnight on January 1st, then it would be best to set the timer to January 2, 00:00, correct?

Are you setting these within the UI?

The admin interface would normally use YYYY-MM-DD 00:00 am/pm by default so if your getting something different there may be a conflict on your site.

Can you add a screenshot of your datepicker?

To answer your question, yes you could, however, personally, I would likely use Jan 1st 11:59pm, not because it will matter to EE but it’s just easier to follow at a glance.

Hey Tony, you’ve answered 100%. I just wanted to be sure I understood the logic as I use different services with different interfaces. At least one seems to determine the time differently. I have to train people on what to expect so I am trying to be thorough.
