Hi,
I have EE 3.1.37.6.P. My host just said I need to upgrade from PHP version 5.4 I can go up to version 7. Would PHP version 7 work with EE3, or which version should I use?

Hi Annie,
We’ve not tested Event Espresso 3 with PHP version 7, which was released about a month ago. Can your host do PHP 5.6? That’s still supported.

Thanks Josh, 5.6 should be fine. For future releases, what’s the quickest way to find out the highest version EE3 will take?

Event Espresso 3 is on its way out in favor of Event Espresso 4 so there’s a possibility there won’t be support for PHP7 maintained for Event Espresso 3.

We’re not planning for an end date, but once all of EE3’s features have been ported over to Event Espresso 4, EE3 will no longer be supported.
Right now Event Espresso 3 isn’t getting new features, only maintenance releases.
