I ran the update and migration for a client site from EE3 to EE4 over the weekend but we had to scrap it and restore back to EE3 because we forgot about previously published EE3 event links.
After the migration to EE4 those links are no longer valid and all events have a (better) more user friendly permalink structure. However, there are several dozen upcoming events on the calendar and my client has published those in other places (Marketing materials, Facebook, etc).
Is there a best practice for redirecting an EE3 event link to the new EE4 event?

The redirection plugin works very well for adding redirects to the new event URLs:
