We are updated our Word Press with a new website theme and full website re-do. Will we have to redownload existing events or will those transfer?

It depends on what you mean by full website re-do. Changing to a new theme will not affect existing events.

Great! Even if all the behind the scenes coding is changing?

Hi there,

it depends entirely on the changes being made and what you mean by the above.

Event Espresso is not tied to your sites theme, it uses the theme output the details but EE is not dependent on a specific theme. So if your site is simply having a new theme developed and installed on the site there will be no problems.

All of your event data is stored within your sites database, if you setup a new site with a new database and then install Event Espresso, then no all of your data will not ‘transfer over’.

Hi Robb,

Your events and attendee/registrant information are stored in your WordPress database.

Switching to a different WordPress theme and/or changing some of the plugins that you are using on your site will not affect that information in Event Espresso.
