when trying to load de.personalbreakthroughacademy.com where Event Espresso is embedded the following messages appears:

The following error occurred while attempting to instantiate “EventEspresso\core\domain\entities\shortcodes\EspressoCancelled”:
Class EventEspresso\core\services\cache\PostRelatedCacheManager does not exist
instantiation mode : 0) none EE_Registry – _create_object – 937

I can’t even login to WordPress.

Hi there,

Have you recently updated Event Espresso using FTP?

That error message would normally only show if files are missing from the version of Event Espresso installed on your site.

Did you make any changes to the site before that error message started to show?

In order to get back into the site you’ll need FTP access to the server or if you host has a ‘file manager’ within your control panel you can use that.

Navigate to /wp-content/plugins/ and look for the event-espresso-core-reg directory, then rename it to something else and reload your WP admin page.

That will de-activate EE on the site and should allow the admin to load once again. If you unsure of the above we can do it for you to get the site back up, you can submit FTP login credentials using this form:

In any case, it sounds like your site is missing some files. The PostRelatedCacheManager class does exist in the Event Espresso plugin, but your site may be missing the file that includes that class.

Here’s how to deactivate plugins without accessing wp-admin:

http://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-deactivate-all-plugins-when-not-able-to-access-wp-admin/

After you deactivate, you can delete your site’s copy of the Event Espresso plugin. Then you download a fresh copy from your account page and re-install, reactivate.

Thank you Josh,

How can I make sure that the data within EE does not get lost?

The data is stored in the database and not the plugin files themselves so deleting and re-installing the plugin will not cause any data to be removed.

You could create a database backup (or request your host creates one) before doing the above to be really safe but the above would normally not cause any problems with your data.
