Hello,

We are needing a way to track attendees who register for an event but then do not attend. We do not see “No Show” as a Registration Status option so were wondering if either a custom “No Show” status could be added or if a current status (i.e. Wait List) can be changed to “No Show”?

As always, thanks for your assistance.

Hi there,

Repurposing another status for a different use case is going to end up coming back to haunt you in the end, for example changing the Waitlist status to use as a post-event ‘no show’ identifier. If EE is updated to somehow use that status post event you’re going to get some very unexpected behavior (the chance may well be slim depending on the change, but either way it can happen) when it does.

For the above are you not checking your users in at event? If you check them in at the event you can see who didn’t show up for the event without hacking up core to do so as they just then wouldn’t be checked in, right?

You could also add the checkin status to the CSV if thats how you are monitoring this?

That makes sense about not waiting to change a current status to a new name. I see how that could get messy. I do not think I was even aware of the check-in feature. I’m reviewing that now and I think it will be just what we need for our tracking purposes.

Thank you!
