Hi Carla,

We’ll need to reset your key. I’ll reset that right now, and what you can do next is go to Event Espresso>General settings on your new host’s site and remove the key there and save. Then you can go to your account page and copy then paste the key from the account page into the key field in Event Espresso>General Settings, then save again.

Hi Josh,
I’m still facing the same problem, I removed the key then saved then copied the key from my account page an saved the settings.
Please note that in my accounts page, I still have the same old license key, it doesn’t change after you reset it.
Regards

Hi Carla,

The key number isn’t supposed to change after we reset it. When we reset it, it will detach itself from any sites that claim it. Is the site on the old server still up and running somewhere? If so, can you verify that the key has been removed there?

Hi Carla,

It looks like you’re on version 3.1.28.2, which has the older pue-client.php. Please see this post:
https://eventespresso.com/topic/3-1-28-5-update-on-license-key-issues-and-fix/

and select one of the options that will work best for you.

Hi Carla,

Your key has been reset. The next step is to remove the key that is entered in Event Espresso>General Settings and save. This will clear the entry in the database. After that, you can re-enter the key from your account page and save.
