WARNING:: Deleted POSTS! WHY NOT THE TRASH CAN!!!

I’m assuming there’s nothing I can do…but, I didn’t realize that:
1. Multiple events can be linked to a single post. I created a custom post page with the event description that had the “Add to cart” link for various events. We edited the events down and then I didn’t need a few of the events so I deleted them. Little did I know – that also DELETES the post!
2. When you delete an event it DELETES the POST – WITHOUT PUTTING IT IN THE TRASH!!!

That NEEDS to be addressed – I just lost about 12 hours of work – without realizing the two things were still connected. Can’t BELIEVE the post didn’t go to the TRASH!!!

If there is ANY chance there is a hidden file somewhere that brings this post back…that would be AWESOME!! But, I’m pretty sure I’m screwed.

I was unaware that deleting events will delete the post that was created. Your deleted events are sent to the EE trash can. You can try republishing the event to see if that restores the post.

I was unaware as well – but can’t think of any other way the post could have been deleted. I had 4 events linked from a single post – not exactly sure how that happened either…but, when I deleted 2 events – the post was gone.

I’ll see what happens if I try restoring the event.

On the event overview screen, set the filter status option to show deleted events. After clicking ‘Filter Status’, the deleted events should appear. Open these and change the status to something other than Deleted (eg. Public) and save. The event posts should be restored after updating these events.
