Want registration but don't want to show ticket selector

Hi, just purchased the plugin yesterday and I’m trying to wrap my head around it. We want to be able to embed an event in a post and I’ve done that, but we don’t want to display the Price, (even Free or $0 is unacceptable), so I am trying to find a way to have registration but not have the Ticket selector visible.

Basically we want to be able to create a new post:

Come join the fun…etc

[SHORTCODE_FOR_SPECIFIC_EVENT_HERE]

and then have people be able to register.

This all works fine if I have the Ticket Selector turned on but if I set, Display Ticket Selector to “NO” then there is no register button.

Hope this makes sense.

here is the URL to the test site I setup

events.denvercoders.com

its just a dummy site to get a handle on the plugin before I try and implement it.

if you go to https://events.denvercoders.com/events

and click on the Company Softball one then you get the Register button and you can register and enter your information.

I want the Wine Tasting one to work the same without showing the ticket selector.

Sorry, trying to explain what I want in a better way.

Hi there,

Event Espresso 4 actually requires some form of a ticket selector to start a registration, but it doesn’t necessarily need to display a price or a table of information. Here’s what you can do to simplify the display:

1) Download the current master of Event Espresso 4 from Github and install on your testing site:
https://github.com/eventespresso/event-espresso-core/archive/master.zip

2) Go to edit the event, and set the Maximum number of tickets allowed per order for this event to 1. Then click on Update.

3) View the event, or view the page with the ESPRESSO_TICKET_SELECTOR short code on it. Instead of a Ticket Selector, you’ll see something that will look like this:

Please take note: After 4.9.32.p, you won’t need the master branch because the current release will include the simplified ticket selector.

Thanks Josh. I’ll give it a shot.

Update: Event Espresso 4.9.32.p, which was released today, includes the simplified ticket selector so you can switch back to using an official release instead of using the release candidate.
