Hello!

I am having a waitlist problem that I can’t figure out what is causing it.

I have two primary events and 2 waitlists created. One waitlist per event is assigned.

On the main registration page, I have this:

[EVENT_ESPRESSO]

This shows both events and the waitlists as well.

When I try this code:

[EVENT_LIST show_secondary=false]

Nothing shows up, at all. Also, when I use this code I have another page that is hidden from navigation that has the Event_espresso code written on it with no luck.

This is creating problems because people are going to the standby list and registering before the event registration is open.

Currently running:

WordPress Version:
3.4.2
PHP Version:
5.2.17
MySQL Version:
5.5.23
Event Espresso Version:
3.1.28.4.P

How can I hide the waitlists from showing up? I have followed this page with no luck:

https://eventespresso.com/wiki/create-a-waiting-list-for-your-event/

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

I am not sure this is causing your problem, but the shortcode that is supposed to be on the main registration page is [ESPRESSO_EVENTS], not [EVENT_ESPRESSO]. Can you try changing that to see if it fixes your problem?

That’s what I meant, not enough coffee yet this morning.

I understand. I am working on my first cup as well. 🙂
Can you share the URL with us?

Another thing to check for would be older event_list templates in /wp-content/uploads/espresso/templates.

If there are older templates in that directory, that could really throw things off.

Also, be sure that for each of the waitlist events, you actually have the Event Status set to Waitlist.

http://www.defensivehandguntraining.com/course-registration/

The waitlist is set to wait list status and it is a clean install of the most recent plugin with no modifications of the templates.

I am looking at it now.

Thanks.

Okay. I renamed your template directory (under Template Settings). If you had updated from event the last version, it could have caused this problem because we updated the template files.

I also added the [EVENT_LIST show_secondary=false] shortcode to the http://www.defensivehandguntraining.com/course-registration/ page and the [ESPRESSO_EVENTS] shortcode to the Register page.

It looks like everything is okay now. Can you verify?

It looks like it is now working, thank you so much! I greatly appreciate the time, it was driving me crazy!

It looked like it was working, at least it wasn’t showing the waitlist on the main page.

However, when the courses opened for registration tonight at 6pm, no one could register.

When you clicked on the register button, nothing happened but a page refresh.

I removed the ESPRESSO_EVENTS code and put it back on the main page and now it works again.

I will have to get this figured out and think a full clean install is in order.

What will I need to remove or delete from the db in order to do that?

I can’t have this failing everytime I need it to open for registration.
