1) Is it possible to show the waitlist link for each individual sold out datetime instead of only when the entire day is sold out?

2) If #1 is not possible, is it possible to manually add a name to the waitlist for a individual sold out datetime?

Hi there,

1) Is it possible to show the waitlist link for each individual sold out datetime instead of only when the entire day is sold out?

Not currently, the waitlist add-on uses the event status to display a waitlist form for the event as a whole. Switching the add-on to check each individual DateTime within an event and display a waitlist button for each individual one will likely increase the number of queries on the page significantly.

2) If #1 is not possible, is it possible to manually add a name to the waitlist for a individual sold out datetime?

I’m not sure I follow? The user registers onto a specific ticket (which will be linked to at least one or more datetimes) so I’m not sure what the above would do.

Can you add some more details?

The site currently has multiple events that each take place on separate days. Each day has two datetimes that each have their own ticket assigned to them. If the 2pm ticket is sold out, the waitlist link doesn’t appear until the 8pm ticket is also sold out. If the purchaser has no desire to attend the 8pm session, it would be great if they could enter the waitlist before the other session sells out.

We currently have a separate form in place to gather interest for the sold out session. Since the waitlist link doesn’t appear until all sessions are sold out, if tickets become available for the sold out session, we would like to be able to manually add them to the waitlist as a workaround so we can release tickets directly to a specific purchaser. The only workaround I see is to temporarily set the other session to be sold out, manually add them to the waitlist through the front end, re-adjust the other session’s ticket availability and then release the waitlist tickets.

Is there a better way?

Hi there,

I am Joao from the Support team. Thanks for contacting us!

Our Waitlist add-on will not cover your requirement. Our Add-on is considered “Sold out” when all of the tickets are sold. I am creating a ticket for our development team as a feature request to add the Wait List for each ticket separately if possible.
