Waitlist as a "hidden" event

I read in a EE3 forum exchange that an event can be set to “Waitlist” status to hide it from your calendar view. You could then provide users with the link to the event for them to register for this “private” event. My question at this stage is where do I find the registering attendees for this private event? They do not appear to be showing up in my Attendee Reports, and in fact the event title does not appear to be active under attendees. Is this because the event is “waitlisted”?? Assistance required, please.

Hi there,

In EE3 a ‘waitlist’ event is a standard event with a status of waitlist, so when users register onto that event it’s the same as any other except for the fact that events with a status of waitlist are filtered out of the ‘normal’ views.

So to view your waitlist event go to:

Event Espresso -> Event Overview

On the ‘filters’ at the top of the list, you’ll find a ‘status filter’ – http://take.ms/rUqJ7

Select ‘Waitlist’ in that filter and click the filter status button.

Your waitlist event should now show up, you can view the attendees for that event in the same way you do for all others.

Is that what you are looking for?

Got it. I guess I was thrown a bit not seeing the attendees on the main list (as the default listing does not include waitlisted events). I think I am good to go, thank you!
