Waiting Lists AND multi-day and time classes – EE3 or EE4?

I need to register people for our classes which are offered multiple days per week. Some people come every day, some people come only 1 day. There is a different price structure based on how many days you come.

Many of our classes are full and have waiting lists. So we need to ability to manage waiting list in addition to the multi-day class schedule.

It looks as though Multi-day is only available in EE4. Whereas Waiting lists are only available in EE3.

Is this correct? Is there another option for me?

As of right now, you can manage waiting lists in EE4 by using any shortcode based contact form. You would get emails tagged for the different events, so you can set up filtering in gmail to help manage the waiting lists. It’s probably the better option for you, since EE4 has the support for multi-day events, and will eventually have built-in wait list support added to it.
I think the bigger challenge for you will be the price structuring. You can sell different tickets, and make each ticket usable on it’s assigned datetime(s). So I suppose if you have a reasonable number of possible permutations then you would have a manageable number of tickets. But if an event has 15 datetimes, then the number of possible combinations becomes quite large.
