I am launching a new event for February, and instead of using a contact form is there a waiting list set up I can place for people to sign up to? I have the Waiting list plug in but that seems to just work when an event is full, is there another way to use it?

Hi there
No, the waitlist add-on only shows for events that have a status of sold out, so the event as a whole needs to be full for it to work.
May I ask how you are looking to use the waitlist feature?

Id like to be able to launch a new course and have a place for people to enter their email for when it launches they can book it.

Oh, I see, so you want a pre-event waitlist?
That wasn’t the intended use case for the add-on but it can be done if you set up the event as normal and then mark is it as sold out. The waitlist add-on should display for the event then.
If you also add those types of events to another category, for example ‘future waitlist events’ then you can target those events with some CSS to hide the status bar (the bar that shows ‘Sold out’).
I can add some more in-depth details on how to do that if it sounds like it will work for you?
