We recently installed the Wait List plugin. Saw the additional options within our events, made some adjustments to activate the wait list with additional spaces, yet the public view still shows Sold Out, with no wait list options. Not sure if we misunderstood the config, or if there is something else we overlooked?

Hi there,
I’ve just tried checking this on the site and it looks like it’s not currently sold out, can you please readjust the values again so it shows as sold out and I can take a look?

Hmm, ok. Strange.
Can you update the ‘Maximum number of tickets allowed per order for this event’ value to be something greater than 1, update and see if the Waitlist button shows then?

Ok, I updated max number of tickets from 1 to 3, but it’s still showing Sold Out status.

It should still show a status of Sold out, that’s expected.
What should also happen is a submit button should show below the ticket selector to join the waitlist.
Can I take a look at the event? If so send temp log in details over using this form:

Ideally if you can include FTP credentials I can add some debug code to EE to see what is happening in the background.

Hmmm, ok.
So the waitlist button now shows on the events, there’s some strange happening on the site in relation to SPLObjectCache.
The Waitlist add-on queries the events for any that have the waitlist enable and stores those in object cache, its to reduce the number of queries required to confirm if an event should show waitlists or not. For some reason on your site when the waitlist add-on checks the cache for an event, it can’t find the event, but I can see in the cache the event is there.
For the time being I’ve removed the check for the cache which then allows the waitlist add-on to calculate if the waitlist button should show and request some feedback from our senior dev on this.
