I have an event that takes place twice every sunday, so I have set up two datetimes per sunday and a ticket for each datetime. How do I get the waitlist to work? Right now it just says sold out on a single ticket but no option for a waitlist.
Actually the Wait List will only display if all ticket options are sold out for the event. If you need a wait list for a specific datetime, then that specific datetime should really be its own standalone event.
Wow, thanks for your speedy response. Darn. that was a major reason I got Event Espresso. so now I have to create a bunch of duplicate event pages, yes? So I’d have to create two event pages for each Sunday since I Have two workshop every Sunday, correct? Will all that duplicate content harm me in the search engines?
In order to use a wait list for any single event, yes, it will need to be a separate event.
If you’re concerned about duplicate content & SEO, what we recommend is create a “canonical” page that has all the information for like events. Then you can include a list of all the like events on that page (using a shortcode like the [EVENT_LIST] shortcode or similar. The like events can be grouped by category.
Then, you can set the individual event pages to not be indexed by adding this code to a functions plugin:
