Hi. I just put in the volume discount addon and it does nothing. I basically need a single event to have the following price point:

1 ticket – $20
2 tickets – $35

I set up a discount of $5 for purchase of 2 tickets for pages with the category in question (though I also tried this using all categories). Nothing changed.

I just bought the multiple registration addon, which I don’t need, because I read somewhere that the volume discount requires it.

Can you please advise what I need to do to get it to work? I have followed documentation to a tee and nothing happens.

Thanks!

Hi Adiel,

Can you post a link to the page where it’s not working so we can investigate further?

As it was mentioned earlier the Volume Discounts add-on requires the Multi Event Registration add-on. The reason is the volume discounts get applied in the cart. From looking at your site it does not look like the Multi Event Registration add-on is active.

After you verify that Multi Event Registration is active, you can go to this page:

http://www.icgre.com/events-2-2/

then click Add to cart and it should calculate volume discounts when the cart meets the volume discount threshold that was set.

Hope that helps!

Hi Josh,

Thanks for the reply.

OK. Well I deactivated the multi event registration because right now and in the future there will only be one paying event at a time.

What you described does not appear to be aa full solution either, because anyone going to purchase the single event directly by clicking “register” rather than “add to cart” will not be presented with the discount (something which I confirmed in testing). Is there any way around this? If not, is there a way I could get a refund for the multi event plugin? That was the only reason we purchased it, and it does not appear to be accomplishing what we need. We really do not have more than one paying event at a time ever, so the cart feature doesn’t help us.

Let me know your thoughts, when you get a chance.

Thanks!

Right now the only way to offer volume discounts is through the cart feature. This is whether there is one event or many events. There is a way to make it so that all the registrations go through the cart, and it is outlined in our documentation:

Ok I will work it out that way; I think that’s the best bet. Thanks Josh! Much appreciated.
