I was editing a message text and selected the “Visual tab”. The content box remained but the text was gone. Looking at the CSS a style had been added to the textarea element setting visibility to none, and the text color was white.

Selecting the “Text tab” did nothing.

If leave the page and go and edit any other “Page” and set the content are back to the text tab then come back to edit a message the text is back.

I am using WordPress 4.4, EE4 (4.8.20), PHP 5.4.45

Hi Allan,

Are there any Javascript errors being thrown on the page? You can check this using Chrome Dev Tools and looking within the ‘console’ section.

Can you update to the latest version of EE4 (currently 4.8.26) and see if the same happens please?

I had a look and it has errors with: Uncaught ReferenceError: purl is not defined
when I click on the Visual Tab.

I found the culprit. It was a copy of cforms V14.6 that was causing the error.

Hi Allan,

Just in-case this comes up again for other users, did you just need to update cforms to the latest version?
