We are offering a variety of virtual events (Zoom, WebEx, Vimeo videos etc.) In your virtual events wiki (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/tips-hosting-virtual-events/), you describe sending links to the Virtual Events by using Venue > Virtual URL field and [VIRTUAL_URL] shortcode in message notifications to send registrants a link to the virtual event.
Problem: Using [VIRTUAL_URL] shortcode in message notifications to send registrants a link to the virtual event would require a venue be setup for each virtual event. Is there a better solution or add-on to send registrants an external event url and that can be specified in the event editor? Such as Alternative Registration Page field? What is [display_html_url] shortcode?

Hi there,
Rather than using the VIRTUAL_URL for this, I recommend using a custom field on the event and just pulling the value for those into the message templates when needed.
