Hi! I am trying the demo you provide and some things are not clear.

1) If you have an event, a person can get a confirmation email when they have NOT yet paid. So… you do not want to provide any kind of call-in information for a virtual paid event in the confirmation email, right? Or the confirmation page.

2) So where do you provide the dial-in instructions? I didn’t see a short code for them, and again, we would not want to provide these details unless someone has actually PAID.

The aspect of having a “confirmed spot” without paying is going to be confusing for our kind of event. We have been hosting on Eventbrite, would love to save the money we spend there (payback would be just an event or two for your premium product), but Eventbrite doesn’t say someone is confirmed until they pay. They stay “pending” for a short time, then the slot is released.

Is there a way for your system to currently be configured to operate in the same way?

Thanks,

Rick

Hi Rick,

First off the email being sent before payment received. This can be turned off so only paid registrants will receive the email, it’s just a settings option.

Whilst everyone that signs up (even just as far as the confirmation page) is recorded in the system in case you want to do follow up work, the default status of the user can be changed both site wide or on a per event basis.

What this means is that if the status is set to Incomplete, they are added but do not count towards the max attendee count for the event. If it is set to Pending, then they do count towards the total amount.

Unlike Eventbrite the attendees are not “released” after a certain point, again in case you want to follow up for any reason.

For paid for events, on the payment page there is always a notice “Your registration is not complete until payment is received.” to advise users that payment is required to secure a spot.

Hope that helps, but let me know if you have any more questions or need clarification.
