I only expect to need VIP support for two months. How will I cancel my membership?

Here is how to cancel an automatic payment with a merchant.

Log in to your PayPal account.
Click Profile at the top of the page.
Click My Money, then click Update beside My preapproved payments to find your payment.
Select the payment, and then click Cancel.

I will note that the VIP program is different than your support license: https://eventespresso.com/pricing

I hate recurring payments. What am I going to get with the VIP beyond my Business License. I am developing for a large and complex event and thought I might need “extra” support while building out the registration system. I have no problem with $5 month-to-month. I think I’ll skip it because of the extra steps on my end (I know myself too well, I’ll never get around to cancelling.) unless I’m getting something really special.

Hi Michael,

Here is information on the VIP Membership: https://eventespresso.com/product/vip-membership/

I guess I’m confused about VIP. Of the following:

1.beta or development versions of Event Espresso and add-ons
2. premium support forums with a guaranteed 24-48 hour responses
3. premium user and developer tutorials
4. premium event management strategies and articles
5. send and receive private messages between support staff and other forum users

Only the last item seems to be available with my business license. Am I misunderstanding the point of the VIP? Sorry to keep asking.

The VIP program is a form of priority support. We try to help the VIP members in the forums first.

Hi Michael,

The main benefit of the $5 a month VIP subscription is the faster response times in the support forums, which is point #2. The posts that are started by VIP subscribers get put into their own higher priority queue that support staff will pick up before the non-VIP support queues.

Just wanted you to know I just signed up for VIP. Thought I’d try to be an active participant with a few Tips and Bug Reports, I have discovered. Of course Help is always nice when I need it.

Only had EE for a couple days. Took forum advise and switched from GoDaddy to BlueHost, too.

Is there a better way to Search the Forum? I find it very hard to wade through the Google-like entries to find answers. I hate to ask things that have already been covered by others.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for becoming a VIP member!

I tend to use both the in built search within the forum, which isn’t perfect I know.

Using the tags can be useful as well.

I also use Google’s site search ( site:eventespresso.com search term) as often it will find better results.

The documentation is also useful to browse: https://eventespresso.com/support/documentation/

At the end of the day if you need something and cant find an answer just start a forum thread, the support team is here to help as much as we can.
