Hi, I am having various issues with the backend of EE.

1)When looking at the Payment Details and I click on Edit/ Delete payment or apply payment or refund, all I get is a black transparent bar along the top (see attached link to images in onedrive) and not much happens.

2)Addiotnal delgate details are not coming through correctly, all are set to the primary delegate.

3)If I try to edit an additional delegates details it just deletes it.

I’ve tried everything on a basic theme and disabled all the plugins but still no luck.

Hi Peter,

Thanks for getting a head start on troubleshooting. You mentioned that you tested on defaults with a basic WP theme and only Event Espresso running.

Was this a default WP theme such as Twenty Fifteen? Next, are you on the latest version of Event Espresso 4 (https://eventespresso.com/wiki/ee4-changelog/)? If not, please backup your site and update.

On question number two, please ensure that you are collecting the personal questions for those additional attendees. You can do this by enabling the personal question group for them via the event editor:

http://cl.ly/image/2l2x1h0c352b

One question number three, this depends on if they are already linked to the primary registrant. However, you’ll want to use the Create Contact button:

http://cl.ly/image/181R273T0P3U

If you use the edit option, then it will replace the existing information for the registrants since they are linked to the primary registrant.

Hi Andreas,

1)When looking at the Payment Details and I click on Edit/ Delete payment or apply payment or refund, all I get is a black transparent bar along the top (see attached link to images in onedrive) and not much happens.

This is caused by the Ultimate Member plugin that you have installed. We recently had other reports of this here:

https://eventespresso.com/topic/apply-payment-button-shows-a-broken-modal/
https://eventespresso.com/topic/plug-in-conflict/

We found it is caused by Ultimate Member adding code to pages of the admin. Another member shared a solution using the plugin Plugin Organizer to remove that plugin from loading on EE pages.

2)Addiotnal delgate details are not coming through correctly, all are set to the primary delegate.

Are you requesting the system question group ‘Personal Information’ for additional attendees, or have you added a custom set of questions for these details?

3)If I try to edit an additional delegates details it just deletes it.

Can you explain this further please? It’s likely connected to point 2 if you are collecting additional attendee info using custom questions.

Thank for the reply, I’m trying to configure Plugin Organizer now to see if that works.

As for the delegate info problem, I’ve got the boxes ticked when setting up the events, but it still just copies the primary delegate info.

Happy to supply login details if that helps?

Hi Andreas,

I tried to check your events but they are behind a login.

In the event editor are the Questions for Additional Registrant question groups ticked? Screenshot http://take.ms/tLYzK

If they are, then please provide login details via https://eventespresso.com/send-login-details/ so we can look at this in more detail.

Hi, again I’ve setup some questions for the additional delegates and ticked the box. I’ve submitted the login details.

Thanks

Hi Dean, once you are logged in, look at http://env-4968367.whelastic.net/wp-admin/admin.php?page=espresso_transactions&action=view_transaction&TXN_ID=53&view_transaction_nonce=51dcdd6927 and you will see under “Attendees Registered in this Transaction” both names are the same, but if you click the bottom one, it then displays the correct name (Tom Hanks) it very confusing.

Thanks

Hi Andreas,

Can you re-check the login details and re-submit please.

I’m getting unknown username when attempting to log in.

The S2member plugin has had a melt down, so I’m having to use Ulimate Member again, will set up another login and resubmit the details.

The new log in details worked.

If you edit your event, scroll down and in the side bar you’ll find two meta boxes. One for the questions selected for the Primary Registant and another for Additional Registrants – http://take.ms/k8ZVk

Currently you have a custom question group using custom questions to collect the additional registrant details. Custom questions are saved within the registration (which is why you see the correct name) but the registration is assigned to a contact based on the ‘Personal Info’ details.

If you only collect Personal Information for the Primary Registrant then all of the registrations are assigned to that contact (which is why they all show the same name on the registrations list)

If you collect Personal Info for all registrants then EE creates a contact for each registrant and assigns each individual registration to that contact (so it then shows the ‘correct’ details within the registrations list.

If you change the Additional Registrants questions to use ‘Personal Information’ in place of your custom group, like this – http://take.ms/MDvrc

EE will create separate contacts for each registrant and show the correct info.
